Scott L. Ruther
Born and raised in the north suburbs of Chicago, Scott L. Ruther went on to attend the University of Kansas receiving a B.S. in Accounting and Business Administration in 1982. In addition, he completed his Juris Doctor at Washburn University School of Law in Topeka, Kansas in May 1985.
Scott went to work for a CPA firm till 1988 at which time he went into private practice specializing in tax and estate planning as counsel and tax specialist. Corporate exposure has ranged from the small business in development through companies with annual revenues in excess of $250 million; has represented IRS cases for individuals and corporations; consulted with presidents, CEO’s, partners and senior executives to determine financial positioning of their corporations and has dealt with senior executives to develop long and short term personal financial goals.
As a perk, Scott is also a licensed insurance agent and securities broker, owner of several small businesses, i.e. a printing company, a retail outfit and a custom audio system company specialized for cars and homes.
Most recently, Scott has been doing seminars for elderly estate planning; tax and liability strategies for specialized groups; and customized tax savings presentations for highly profitable corporations.
